FALL FOLIAGE TRAIN RIDE
OCTOBER 4-5, 2010
Join Amber Tours for a terrific trip as we travel to the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. First, we'll visit a winery in Delaplane, VA as well as a terrific apple orchard. Then we'll spend the night close to Charles Town Raceway. While there you can have fun at the slots. The next day we will travel west to Romney, WV where we will board the fabulous Potomac Eagle Train for a beautiful mountain ride complete with a wonderful gourmet lunch.
OCTOBER 4:
7:00 AM: Depart the Hampton Roads area and travel north and west to Delaplane where we'll tour Barrel Oak Winery. This is a beautiful winery in a terrific setting!
After an on your own lunch we'll visit a terrific local orchard where we can have hay rides and enjoy hot cider and homemade apple cider doughnuts.
OCTOBER 5:
9:30 AM: After an included breakfast we will drive west towards Romney to board The Potomac Eagle train for our first class three and one half hour lunch train ride through the West Virginia Mountains. Along the way you will be served a gourmet lunch. The train ride is fully guided along the way.
11:00 AM: Arrive at the Potomac Eagle Train in Romney, West Virginia. We will board the train at this time. The train departs at 11:30 AM and a gourmet lunch is served. You will marvel at the colorful mountains in all of its full fall glory!! The train winds its way through picturesque mountains. This will be a memorable day.
3:00 PM: Depart for home with a brief dinner stop along the way.
9:00 PM: Arrive back in the Hampton Roads area.
PRICE: $239 per person double occupancy. Single supplement is $50. A $100 deposit is due at the time of registration. Full payment is due August 15, 2010. Cancellation waiver is available and strongly recommended.
TERMS: Trip includes round trip motor coach transportation, train ride and a gourmet lunch, hotel, breakfast and the services of a guide for the trip.
